Herman Edward Brumit, II, age 77 of Springville, TN, died Thursday, November 9, 2017, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, TN.
He formerly owned and operated Old Charlotte Market in Pegram, TN, and also worked in insurance sales for several years. He was a former Sheriff’s Deputy in Davidson County and served in the Air National Guard. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was an avid football fan of both the Tennessee Volunteers & Tennessee Titans. He was Baptist in belief.
Herman was born July 27, 1940, in Nashville, TN, to the late Herman Edward Brumit, Sr., and the late Ethel Trenary Brumit.
He was married August 24, 1979, to Emily Hurt Brumit, who survives, of Springville, TN.
Along with his wife, he is also survived by four children, George Brumit of Nashville, TN, and Eddie Brumit of Springville, TN, Steven C. (Katie) Huggins of Ider, AL, and Tony (Debbie) Huggins of Centerville, TN; two sisters, Helen Eaves of Nashville, TN, and June Hedge of Hendersonville, TN; four brothers, Charlie Brumit of Santa Fe, TN, Bobby Brumit of Nashville, TN, Jack Brumit of Elizabethton, TN, and Kenny Brumit of Pegram, TN; and six grandchildren, Chloe Huggins, Grayson Huggins, Madison Huggins, Grace Huggins, Natalie Rochelle, and Kileigh Rochelle.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Brumit and Dot Brown; four brothers, Leon Brumit, Don Brumit, Jimmy Brumit, and Tommy Brumit; and one grandchild, Trenton Mathew Huggins.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Saturday, November 11, 2017, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm, with a Celebration of Life service to begin at 2:00 pm.
