Cleo Summers Hosford, age 93 of Paris, TN, died Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Paris Healthcare Center.
Cleo was a member of Trinity United Methodist. He retired from the Paris Fire Department after more than 20 years of service and he was a US Army veteran of WWII. He also formerly owned and operated Hosford Amoco service station in Paris.
Cleo was born January 24, 1925 in Dover, TN to the late Will Hosford and the late Eula Lancaster Hosford.
He was married to Lucy Key Hosford on January 10, 1946 and she survives of Paris, TN. He is also survived by one son, Bill (Terri) Saylor of Paris, TN; four grandchildren, Brad Saylor of Paris, TN, Pam (Frank) Heathman of Hermitage, TN, Alex Herbison of Antioch, TN, and Erin (Steve) Chester of Antioch, TN; two great grandchildren, Cameron Heathman, and Keiran Chester; and two special caregivers, Hilda Barrow, and Kay Valentine.
Besides his parents, Cleo was also preceded in death by four sisters, Cozy Westerman, Nebraska Mathis, Gladys Cox and Mildred Hosford; and one brother, Clyde Hosford.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN where visitation will be Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 10 am – 12 pm. The funeral service will be Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 12:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with Mike Wimberley and Dennis Vance officiating.
Pallbearers will be Brad Saylor, Frank Heathman, M. L. Bailey, John Roaten, Billy Fitzhugh, and James Paschall.
Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Garden in Paris, TN.
