David K. Barton, Sr., age 59 of Paris, TN, died Thursday, November 15, 2018, at Henry County Medical Center.
He formerly worked at McDonald Douglas Corporation in St. Louis, MO as a machinist. He was member of Camden United Pentecostal Church in Camden, TN, and Landmark Apostolic of Sparta, IL. David enjoyed cooking, fishing, and camping.
David was born October 10, 1959, in Red Bud, IL, to the late Franklin Barton, Sr., and the late Lorraine Mary Howard Barton.
He was married July 21, 2018, to Sandra Jean Birchall Barton, who survives, of Paris, TN.
Along with his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Sarah (Adam) Schmitz of Litchfield, IL, and Elizabeth (Joshua) Edwards of Maryland; one son, David (Jennifer) Barton, Jr., of Maryville, TN; one step-son, Brian Michael Birchall of Crown Point, IN; six sisters, Sally Reddish of Tilden, IL, Debbie (Jerry) Phelps of Marissa, IL, Mary (Brian) Bodendieck of Cape Girardeau, MO, Lurissa (Dave) Cochrane of Corinth, TX, Christine (Brian) Tedrow of Marissa, IL, and Rebecca (James) Price of Coulterville, IL; two brothers, Paul Barton of Tilden, IL, and Michael Barton of Cape Girardeau, MO; and eight grandchildren, Hallie Barton, Nicholas Barton, Annabelle Edwards, Logan Schmitz, Ashton Schmitz, Parker Schmitz and Brian Joseph Birchall.
Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife Sandra Jean Brown Barton and one brother Frank Barton, Jr.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN. The body is to be cremated. No local services are planned.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, December 2, 2018, at 4 pm at the Landmark Apostolic Church located at 401 N. Vine St., Sparta, IL 62286.
