David Stephen Gallimore, age 68 of Puryear, TN, died Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at his residence in Puryear, TN.
He was the owner and operator of David’s Home Improvement where he worked in construction. He was a member and deacon of Puryear Baptist Church, where he served as chairman of deacons and was president of the Adult Men’s Sunday school class that he attended. David was a member of both the Buchanan, TN Masonic Lodge # 772, where he was a past master, and the Cottage Grove, TN Marshall Lodge # 109. He was also a member of the Paris York Rite and the 32nd degree Scottish Rite. He graduated from Puryear High School in 1968. He enjoyed farming, watching little league baseball, and was an avid fan of the Tennessee Volunteers.
David was born March 29, 1950, in Murray, KY, to the late Myron Ross Gallimore and the late Ruth Loretta Page Gallimore Brannon.
He was married June 15, 1968, to Betty Sue Morris Gallimore, who survives, of Puryear, TN.
Along with his wife, he is also survived by one daughter, Stephanie (Danny) Zuckschwerdt of Puryear, TN; one son, Tim (Krista) Gallimore of Puryear, TN; one brother, Danny (Margaret) Gallimore of Puryear, TN; one granddaughter, Gabrielle Nicole Zuckschwerdt; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN where visitation will be Friday, September 7, 2018 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm, and continue Saturday, September 8, 2018, from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Puryear Baptist Church. The funeral service will be Saturday, September 8, 2018, at 3:00 pm at Puryear Baptist Church, with Chad Kennedy and Bro. Mike Rhodes officiating.
Pallbearers for the service will be Eric Kent, Craig Robertson, Jeremiah Maynard, Josh Gallimore, Jacob Gallimore, Kevin Kennedy, Rodney Gallimore, and Greg Underwood. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacon body of Puryear Baptist Church, all members of the Buchanan & Cottage Grove Masonic Lodges, Paulette Kent, Brian French, Dwight Valentine, Sherla Adams, Joe Crutcher, and Larry Jackson.
Burial will follow in Carson Cemetery in Puryear, TN.
