Ethel “Red” Dotson, age 74 of Springville, TN, died Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at her residence in Springville.
She retired after working 30 years at the Dana Corporation. Red enjoyed spending time with her family, riding her golf cart, and traveling. She was Baptist in belief.
Red was born December 14, 1943, in Chavies, KY, to the late Brown Low Johnson and the late Mimia Mullins Johnson.
She was married on April 18, 1964, to Harold Dotson who survives of Springville, TN .
Along with her husband, survivors include her daughter, Brenda Dotson of Springville, TN; two sons, William (Brenda) Dotson of Tennessee Ridge, TN, and Ronnie (Susie) Dotson of Springville, TN; three sisters, Wanda Mullins, and Lucille Bishop both of Chavies, KY, and Wilma (Ray) Carter of Rockhold, KY; four brothers, Alan Johnson of Barwick, KY, Tom (Linda) Johnson of Chavies, KY, Amos (Janice) Johnson, and Ben (Frankie) Johnson, both of Austin, IN; six grandchildren, Robert (Kimberly) Dotson, Brittany Dotson, Bonnie Dotson, Emily Dotson, Dustin Enoch, and Tiffany Enoch; and 8 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lena Seabolt; and two brothers, Henry Johnson and Ed Johnson.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St. Paris, TN, where visitation will be Thursday November 29, 2018 from 4 until 7 pm and Friday, November 30, 2018 from 11 am until 1 pm. Her funeral service will be Friday, November 30, 2018, at 1:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with her nephew, Rev. Edward Johnson officiating.
Family members will serve as pallbearers with Larry and Phyllis Craig serving as honorary pallbearers.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris, TN.
