Glen Allen Morgan, age 91 of Paris, TN, died Sunday, June 10, 2018, at Henry County Healthcare Center in Paris, TN.

 

He retired from Spinks Clay Company in 1986 as a heavy equipment mechanic. He then worked for Campbell’s Well Drilling for 13 years.  He enjoyed working on lawn mowers and fishing and hunting in his younger years.  He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Paris.

 

Glen was born March 19, 1927, to the late Ben Allen Morgan and the late Ethel Stalcoup Morgan.

 

He was married February 1, 1947, to Lena Pearl Ellis Morgan, who survives, of Paris, TN.

 

Along with his wife, he is also survived by one daughter, Deborah (Rickey) Moon of Paris, TN; one sister, Wanda (Lenney) Stout of Trezevant, TN; and one grandson, Todd (Betsy) Myer of Waterville, OH.

 

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Allen Myers; one sister, Ruby Smith; and one brother, Harold Morgan.

 

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Tuesday, June 12, 2018, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, and continue Wednesday June 13, 2018 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am.  The funeral service will be Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at 11:00 am at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Micheal Barnhart and Craig Peevyhouse officiating. 

 

Serving as pallbearers will be Jim Morgan, Frankie Nance, Donnie Stewart, Michael Wade, Donald Ellis and Bub Cantrell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Donnie Archie, Max Middleton, Jim McCampbell, Willie Greer, Ed Ellis and his former co-workers from Spinks.

 

Burial will be in Birds Creek Cemetery in the Whitlock community of Paris, TN.
