Jerry Deeter, age 77 of Paris, TN, died Thursday, January 10, 2019, at Paris Healthcare Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Paris, TN.
He retired after several years as a press operator for Dana Corporation in Paris. He formerly worked at a locksmith company in Chicago, IL, for over 30 years. After retirement, he delivered “Jean’s Pies” to Trolingers for many years. Jerry was an animal lover and enjoyed playing cards and dominos. He loved all sports and watching dog shows.
Jerry was born September 24, 1941, in Petaluma, CA, to the late Burdett Deeter
and the late Imogene Myers Deeter.
He is survived by one daughter, Tina Deeter of Springville, TN; one son, Lance Deeter of Chicago, IL; close friend and companion, Jean Deeter of Paris, TN; four stepchildren, Tim Lee of Paris, TN, Mark Lee of Paris, TN, Michael Lee of Paris, TN, and Teresa Allen of Paris, TN; one brother, Ben (Suzie) Deeter of Huntingdon, TN; special cousin, Billy Deeter of St. Louis, MO; and one niece; and two nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Val Gene Deeter.
Arrangements are being handled Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Friday, January 11, 2019, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, and continue Saturday, January 12, 2019, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am. The funeral service will be Saturday, January 12, 2019, at 11:00 am at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Bro. Cliff Evans officiating.
Pallbearers will be Darrell Vaughn, Tim Lee, Mark Lee, Michael Lee, Rick Campbell, and Randy Long.
Burial will be Memorial Cemetery in Paris, TN.
