Jerry Boyd Evans, age 77 of Paris, TN, died Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at Paris Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Paris, TN.
He retired from UPS after 32 years as a driver. He was a member, deacon, and former training union director of Springhill Baptist Church in Paris. Jerry formerly served in the Tennessee National Guard. He was an avid University of Tennessee fan, enjoyed golfing, and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Jerry was born February 7, 1941, in Springville, TN to the late Kermit Evans and the late Pauline Boyd Evans Dolan.
He was married September 5, 1964, to Patsy Parrish Evans, who survives, of Paris, TN.
Along with his wife, he is also survived by two daughters, Leigh Anne (Mark) Roberts of Savannah, TN, and Sherry (Chris) Mustain of Paris, TN; one sister, Velva (Larry) Perry of Seymour, TN; two brothers, Terry Evans of Paris, TN, and Dale (Betsy) Evans of Paris, TN; and three grandchildren, Jaelan Mustain of Chattanooga, TN, Brady Mustain of Martin, TN, and Rachel Roberts of Savannah, TN.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his stepfather, L.G. Dolan; and one brother, Billy Joe Evans.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN. The body is to be cremated. Memorial visitation will be Saturday, October 13, 2018, from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Springhill Baptist Church with the memorial service to begin at 4:00 pm, with Bro. Craig Odem and Dr. Fred Shackelford officiating.
