Jerry Gebert, age 81 of Paris, TN, died Monday, December 23, 2019, at his residence.
He retired as a truck driver for Mohon International after 30 years. Jerry was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Paris. He enjoyed woodworking, toy trains, and John Deere tractors. He loved Atlanta Braves baseball.
Jerry was born January 1, 1938, in Lederach, PA, to the late Lloyd Gebert and the late Elva Ziegler Gebert.
He was married August 4, 1990, to Sue Cooper Gebert, who survives, of Paris, TN.
Along with his wife, he is also survived by one daughter, Sandy (Jeff) Dowdy of Collierville, TN; four sons, Jeff (Eileen) Gebert of College Grove, TN, Scott (Karen) Gebert of Venice, FL, Barry (Kelly) Carter of Youngstown, FL, and Bryan (Amanda) Carter of Paris, TN; one sister, Karen (Steve) Groff of Willowstreet, PA; 11 grandchildren, Nicole Dowdy, Graham Dowdy, Christopher Gebert, Tyler Carter, Tanner Carter, Stan Carter, Kristi (Ben) Gibson, Vivian Carter, Lillian Carter, Jillian Carter, Zane Carter; and three great grandchildren, Lewis Carter, Leona Gibson, and Iseral Gibson.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN. Visitation will be Saturday, December 28, 2019, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Johnathan Smith officiating.
Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will be in Rose Lawn Memory Garden in Paris, TN.
