Jerry Kenneth Wimberley, age 68 of Jackson, TN, formerly of Paris, died Saturday, September 7, 2019, at his residence in Jackson, TN.
He spent his lifetime in sales, working the last 22 years as the sales manager for Green Acres Mobile Homes, Inc., in Union City, TN. Jerry enjoyed fishing, was an avid golfer, and truly enjoyed his golfing friends from the Oaks Country Club in Murray, KY. He loved his family very much, especially his wife, children, and grandchildren. Jerry never met a stranger and was very generous to everyone he met. He was a member of Northside United Methodist Church in Jackson, TN.
Jerry was born November 8, 1950, in Henry County, to the late John Kenneth Wimberley and the late Martha Elizabeth Ridgeway Wimberley.
He was married October 20, 2018, to Charlotte Anne Pate Wimberley, who survives, of Jackson, TN.
Along with his wife, he is also survived by one daughter, Staci Wimberley of New Hope, AL; one son, Scott (Sharee) Wimberley of New Hope, AL; one stepdaughter, Wendy (John) Little of Jackson, TN; two brothers, Mike (Dianne) Wimberley of Lebanon, TN, and Tommy (Debi) Wimberley of Paris, TN; six grandchildren, Tristan Wimberley, Addison Triplett, Keagan Wimberley, Julee Wimberley, Kayne Wimberley, and Jaden Wimberley; two step grandchildren, Joseph Little and John Michael Little; one brother-in-law, Kenneth (Judy) Pate of Knoxville, TN; a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN 38242, where visitation will be Tuesday, September 10, 2019, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, and continue Wednesday, September 11, from 9:00 am – 11:00 am. The funeral service will be Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at 11:00 am at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Dr. Don Thrasher and Brian Wimberley officiating.
Pallbearers for the service are Eddie Wilson, Marvin Shell, Kenny Paschall, Bobby King, Butch Gardner, Jack Jones, Wayne Rowland, and Matt Wimberley. Honorary pallbearers are Jerry’s golfing buddies from the Oaks Country Club in Murray, KY.
Burial will be in Buck Williams Cemetery in Springville, TN.
