Mary Joye Cole age 80 of New Concord, KY, formerly of Paris, died Friday, August 23, 2019, in an automobile accident in New Concord.
Joye was a member of the Community of Christ Church. She retired from the Holley Credit Union, where she worked in bookkeeping. She formerly had worked in the lab at the Holley Carburetor Plant. Being a mother and a wife were what Joye enjoyed most. She loved all animals, especially her dogs, and enjoyed writing poetry.
Born October 21, 1938, in Whitlock, she was the daughter of the late Charles Buford “Red” Snyder and the late Crystal Paschall Snyder.
She was married to Marvin Cole March 29, 1998, who died February 2, 2019.
Survivors include: her daughters, Cheryl Davis Dodd of Claremore, OK and Charla Dunlap of Oakland, TN; a sister Martha Loy (Jerald) Henderson of Paris, five grandchildren, Jason Davis, Jared Davis, Kasey Davis (Matt) Maze, Jeffrey Snider and Jessica Snider (Christopher) Frazier, and six great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Rex Davis, a brother, Charles Thomas Snyder, a granddaughter, Angela Davis, a great grandchild, Alexander Blake Snider, and former husband Richard H. “Chief” Dunlap.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN 38242.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, August 25, 2019, at 3 p.m. at the Rose Lawn Memory Garden with Phil Boyd officiating.
Friends and family members will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will be in Rose Lawn Memory Garden.
