Manuel Mike “Manny” Manzanares, age 86 of Paris, TN, died, Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at his residence in Paris, TN.
Manny was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Paris. He was a dedicated 4th degree member of Knights of Columbus. He retired after many years as a roofer. He enjoyed cooking, volunteering in his community for many events, and loved animals.
Manny was born January 20, 1932, in Highland Boy, UT, to the late Jose Heilario Manzanares and the late Lucio Vigil.
He was married May 29, 1964, to Brenda Goins Manzanares, who survives, of Paris, TN.
Along with his wife, he is also survived by his stepmother, Sarah Manzanares of Salt Lake City, UT; one daughter, Libby Conca of Paris, TN; one son, Earl Miracle of Paris, TN; three sisters, Margo (Brian) Zarker of El Granada, CA, Georgiana (Wayne) McGillick of Santa Clara, CA, and Elaine (Max) Lozano of Salt Lake City, UT; one brother, John M. Manzanares of Surprise, AZ; three grandchildren, Nicole M. Conca, Tina M. (Wayne) Braddy, and Alexandra Conca; one great grandson, Logan Braddy; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, Damon Miracle; one sister, Joyce Wilcox; and two brothers, Patrick J. Manzanares and Alex Gutierrez.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Thursday, September 13, 2018, from 4:00 pm – 7:30 pm, with a rosary service to begin at 7:30 pm. The funeral mass will be Friday, September 14, 2018, at 10:00 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church, with Father Martin Orjianioke officiating.
Members of the Knights of Columbus will serve as pallbearers.
Burial with be Memorial Cemetery in Paris, TN.
