Alexander David John, age 86 of Paris, TN, formerly of Sycamore, IL, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Eiffel Gardens Assisted Living.
He was born in Oak Park, IL, on October 1, 1939, to the late Eugene A. John, and the late Dora R. Parkhurst John.
Alexander attended First Presbyterian Church-Paris and was a member of the Paris Lions Club. He was a retired salesman and owner/operator of a Maytag appliance store in Batavia, IL. He was a fishing lure collector and treasured the time he spent fishing and woodworking.
Mr. John is survived by one daughter, Julia (Roberto) Flores of Clarksville, TN; three grandchildren, Elysse (Matthew) Bennett, Olivia (Sajad) Alrubaie, and Claudette (Michael) Kasyanyuk; one great-grandchild, Londyn Bennett; and his beloved companion, June Cribaro of Sycamore, IL.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, David John; and one sister, Judith John.
Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. His remains are to be cremated with a memorial graveside service to be held at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Effingham, IL, on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
