Annie Laura Boyd Lafever

Annie Laura Boyd Lafever, age 98 of Paris, TN, died Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at AHC of Paris.

She was a homemaker who dedicated her life to her family.  She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Paris.  In her early years, Annie sewed bandages and bed linens for wounded soldiers that were overseas during WWII.  She enjoyed embroidering and reading and loved taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Annie was born January 16, 1923, in Puryear, TN, to the late Burton Boyd and Nina Jackson Boyd.

She was married December 23, 1945, to Samuel Willard Lafever, who preceded her in death January 11, 1998.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Lafever (Frankie) Nance of Paris; two grandchildren, Tim (Lisa) Nance, and Gina (Scott) Braham; five great grandchildren, Clint (Baylee) Nance, Zack (Katie) Braham, Rhett (Kelli) Braham, Erika Needles, and Danielle Needles; four great-great grandchildren, Carson Braham, Isabella Braham, Aubrey Needles-Perry, and Layla Cowens; one sister, Ruby Boyd Carter; four sisters-in-law, Fay Boyd, Sally Boyd, Pat Boyd Jackson, and Francis Boyd Diem; numerous nieces and nephews; and special caregivers at AHC of Paris.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by three sisters, Jessie Boyd Clayton, Lois Boyd Merrell, and Addie Boyd Merrell; six brothers, Bonnie Boyd, Harvey Boyd, Joe Boyd, William Boyd, Billy Boyd, and Quinton Boyd; one sister-in-law; several brothers-in-law; and several nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Thursday, January 28, 2021, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Chad Kennedy officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Frankie Nance, Tim Nance, Scott Braham, Clint Nance, Zack Braham, Rhett Braham.

Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Puryear, TN.
