Barbara Mcclain

The funeral service for Henry County native Barbara Louise McClain of Camden was conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Ridgeway Funeral Home.

Dwight Turner officiated. Burial followed in Pleasant Hill Methodist Cemetery in Camden.

Chosen as pallbearers were Jason Green; Monty McCartney; and Mitchell, Marlon, Justin and Coltin Smith.

Visitation was Saturday and Sunday.

McClain, 68, died Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, at her residence.

Born in Mansfield on March 22, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Wayne Jenkins French and Lillian Mary Sanders French.

She was married on June 16, 1963, to Jimmie McClain, who died Aug. 24, 2012. She attended Apostolic Chapel Church.

She leaves two daughters: Tammy Rena (Marion) Smith of Springville and Amanda Dawn McClain of Camden; two grandchildren: Justin Kyle (Tiffany) Smith and Colton Smith, both of Springville;

Four sisters: Sue Cannon and Vickie (Mitchell) Smith, both of Springville, Sheila (Monty) McCartney of Henry and Peggy (Bill) Williams of Bruceton; and one brother: Doyle (Cindy) French of Springville.

She also was preceded in death by a sister: Helen Eubanks; and two brothers: William Wayne “Big Bud” French and Walter Riley “Little Bud” French.
