Barry Griffith Wagner

Barry Griffith Wagner, age 86 of Buchanan, TN, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN.

Barry was born in Buffalo, NY, on March 31, 1939, to the late Roy Wagner, and the late Anna June Hawkins Wagner.

On June 30, 1962, in Snyder, NY, he married Elaine Myers Wagner, who survives of Buchanan, TN.

Barry earned his associate’s degree from Erie County Technical Institute in Williamsville, NY. He joined the U.S. Army in July 1957, and later worked for Beales, McCarthy, and Rodgers in Buffalo, NY. Afterward, he spent 25 years with Mobil Oil, retiring as a budgeting manager. In June 2000, he and his wife, Elaine, moved their family to Buchanan, TN, where he went on to work at Lowe’s in Murray, KY for 11 years.

He enjoyed working on cars, gardening, and target shooting.

In addition to his wife, Barry is survived by two children, Kaylene Wagner and Jason Wagner, both of Buchanan, TN.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Marlyn Randall.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. His remains are to be cremated with no public services scheduled at this time.
