Betty Anne French Neal

Betty Anne French Neal, age 91 of Henry, TN, died on Monday, February 23, 2026, at her residence.

She was born on January 28, 1935, in Henry County Tennessee to the late Henry Nelson French and the late Mary Alice Frensley French.

Betty was a member of the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Henry, TN. She worked for many years as a tax preparer at Henry County Farm Bureau during tax season and in the front office throughout the rest of the year. She was also an active participant in the FCE Bunn’s Community Club and a member of the Cancer Survivors Group. Betty loved cooking for her family and working on creative crafts. As someone who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, Betty found joy in traveling and even took to the fields, driving a combine to help on the family farm.

On January 28, 1962, Betty married Paul J. Neal, who survives, of Henry, TN.

Along with her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Brenda (Jeff) Medlock of Winchester, TN; daughter-in-law Pam Hosford of Paris, TN; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Betty was also preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Anne Hosford; a son, Bradley E. Hosford; and a brother, Robert Lewis French.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St/ PO Box 788, Paris, TN will be handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held Friday, February 27, 2026, at Ridgeway Funeral Home from 4:00 until 7:00 pm, and continue on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 11:00 am until 2:30 pm at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, 4125 Macedonia Road, Henry, TN 38231.  Her funeral service will be held Saturday, February 28, 2026, at  Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church at 2:30 pm.

Burial will follow the service in Bethlehem Cemetery.
