Bobby Triplett

Robert Lee “Bobby” Triplett age 84 of Paris, TN, died Friday, May 9, 2025, at Saint Thomas Hospital West in Nashville, TN.

Bobby retired as the plant foreman from Tennessee Asphalt Company after working there for over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, attending auctions, and collecting antiques. When his boys were younger, he spent many hours coaching their baseball teams. Bobby could be seen most days at local convenience stores talking to others, and playing Tennessee scratch off lottery tickets.

He married Betty Kathryn Denton Triplett on October 17, 1959, and she survives of Paris.

Born June 29, 1940, in Springville, TN, he was the son of the late J.C. Triplett and the late Roberta Allison Triplett.

Along with his wife, he is also survived by two sons, Barry (Jeanette) Triplett of Puryear, TN, and Brad (Serina) Triplett of Holladay, TN; a sister, Glenda Bruce of Paris, TN; nine grandchildren, Blake (Amber) Triplett, Katelyn Triplett, Brittany Stauffer and her Fiancé Keith Allen, Brian (April) Triplett, Garrett Triplett, Laney Triplett, Addison Triplett, Tristan Wimberley, and Tanáe (Eric) Martel; and thirteen great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was also preceded in death by two sons, Anthony Wayne “Tony” Triplett, and Christopher Dean “Chris” Triplett; four sisters, Sara Imadell “Dell” Wimberley, Linda Louise Hill, Norma Dean French, and Brenda Triplett; and a brother, James Keith Triplett.

Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St./P.O. Box 788 Paris, TN 38242, will be handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held Monday, May 12, 2025, from 4:00 until 7:00 pm, and continue Tuesday, May 13, 2025, after 10:00 am until the time of the service. His funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 11:00 am at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Randy Stephens officiating.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Burial will follow the service in the Elkhorn Cemetery.
