Bonnie Bucy

Bonnie Ruth Bucy, age 82 of Atwood, TN, died Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at her residence.

She retired from A.O. Smith in Milan, TN. Bonnie loved canning, putting up garden vegetables, and entering her products in the fair. She was Baptist by belief. 

Bonnie was born October 21, 1941, in Parsons, TN, to the late Louie Wesley Quinn and the late Alta Ruth Hill Quinn.

She was married February 4, 1997, to George Darrell Bucy, who preceded her in death on September 14, 2024.

She is survived by one daughter, Terri Thomas of Westport, TN; one son, Larry Searatt of Dresden, TN; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and special niece and caregiver, Helen (Keith) Davis of Atwood, TN.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one son, Gary Wayne Searatt; four sisters, Earline Sibley, Launell Laudermilk, Jane Gurley, and Lola D. Webb; and two brothers, Gordon Quinn and Oneal Quinn.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. A private family graveside service will be held.

Burial will follow the service in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
