Brad Hosford

Bradley Eugene Hosford age 68 of Paris, died Thursday, September 21, 2023, at the TriStar Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, TN.

Brad in his own words was “a jack of all trades and master of none”. He worked many years as an engineer in broadcasting with Terry Hailey at the WTPR radio station, then with Paul Tinkle and the Thunderbolt Radio Company. Brad enjoyed reading, being a HAM radio operator, writing, flying, painting, traveling, woodworking, sewing, and photography. Whether it was scuba diving, kayaking, or being on a sailboat, he loved to spend time on the water. He was a former EMT and member of the Paris Henry County Rescue Squad. Brad loved to climb radio towers. He taught many CPR classes in his own unique way. Brad was Baptist in belief and had formerly attended the Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Born January 21, 1955, in Paris, he was the son of Betty and Paul Neal of Henry and the late Gene Hosford. 

Brad married Pam Futrell Hosford on October 16, 1976, and she survives of Paris.

In addition his parents and wife, he is survived by three children, Amanda (Matt) Morris of Paris, Eric (Jenn) Hosford, of Archer, FL, and Jay (Nicole) Hosford of Paris; three sisters, Brenda (Jeff) Medlock of Winchester, TN, Sherry (Andy) DeLoach of Medina, TN, and Debbie (Tom) Kinsland of Paris; six grandchildren, Madeline (Austin) Page, Brendan (Kassidy) Morris, Eavan Hosford, Aidan Harris, Slayden Hosford, and Lily Morris; two great grandchildren, Westin Morris and Carson Witherspoon; and special friends, Grace and Raymond Cheung. 

In addition to his father, Brad was also preceded in death by Barbara Hosford Tanner.

Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St./ P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242, will be handling the services. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2023, from 12 until 4 pm. His funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at 4 pm with Craig Peevyhouse officiating.

Cremation will follow the service.

In honor of Brad’s love for flying, memorials may be made to the EAA Chapter 734, 535 Airport Lane, McKenzie, TN 38201.
