Carol Ann Banks

Carol Ann Banks, age 77 of Murray, KY, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at Spring Creek Post-Acute and Rehabilitation Center in Murray, KY.

She was born in Berwyn, IL, on November 12, 1947, to the late Jewel Lechocki.

Carol was married to Clifton Banks, who preceded her in death.

She was a devout Catholic, who enjoyed walking, thrift shopping, and spending time with her cats. She retired after many years as a secretary in banking. She was known for being “Tough as Nails.”

Carol is survived by one son, Rahi Banks of Chicago, IL; 11 grandchildren, Adora, Jasmin, RahRah, Derrick, Jeromino, Paris, Andrew, Kamylle, Trinity, Triana and Carolyn Pasca Dabbs; two great-grandchildren, Brenton Mariano Dabbs-Height, and Amir Wazwaz; and a nephew, Robert (Racheal) Mayberry of Murray, KY; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Carol was preceded in death by two children, Anthony Dabbs, and Matil Banks.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. Her remains are to be cremated with no public services scheduled at this time.
