Catherine Grace Hartfelder

Catherine Grace Hartfelder, age 93 of Springville, TN, died Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN.

She was a homemaker who always referred to herself as a “household engineer.”  She was Catholic by faith and a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Paris.

Grace was born November 11, 1928, in Scranton, PA, to the late Joseph Carden and the late Mary Murray Carden.

She was married March 24, 1961, to her husband of 61 years, Richard Frederick “Dick” Hartfelder, who survives, of Springville, TN.

Along with her husband, she is also survived by three children, Taffy (Alan) Stockdale of Springville, TN; Edward “Teddy” Hartfelder of Scranton, PA, and Richard Leo “Randy” (Laura) Hartfelder of Brentwood, TN; one brother, Joseph “Buddy” Carden; four grandchildren, T.J. (Kelsey) Stockdale; Mary Grace (Charles) Russell, Alex Hartfelder and Jack Hartfelder; two great grandchildren, Finn Stockdale and Gracie Stockdale; and her beloved dog, Bo.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Mary Joan Flaherty.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  The body is to be cremated.  A private family graveside service will be held at Holly Mist Cemetery in Springville, TN.
