Christine W. Townsend, age 91 of Paris, TN, died Sunday, March 6, 2022, in Kingston Springs, TN.

She retired after 20 years from Plumley Rubber Company in Paris and also worked for 30 years at Holley Carburetor Plant.  Christine was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Paris.

Christine was born November 23, 1930, in Paris, TN, to the late Talmage Wyatt and the late Annie Stallings Wyatt.

She was married to Garvin M. Townsend, who preceded her in death in 2008.

Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, Michael Dinkins of Bozeman, MT, and Jeff (Rhonda) Townsend of Paris; one daughter-in-law, Rhonda D. Townsend of Kingston Springs, TN; seven grandchildren, Joseph Townsend, Clay Townsend, Bryce Townsend, Misti Townsend, Stacey French, Gabriella White, and Patricia Wilson;  and twelve great grandchildren, Elizabeth Townsend, Julieanna Townsend, Story Townsend, Brayden Townsend, Alexa Gouge, Fabian Gouge, Destiny Allen, Heaven O‘Donnell, Ryker O’Donnell, Honor O’Donnell, Trent White, and Colton White.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Debra Townsend; one son, Steve Townsend; three sisters, Ollie W. Dunlap, JoAnn Parker, and Shirley Revel; three brothers, Clifford Wyatt, Junior Wyatt, and Bobby Wyatt; and one grandchild, Kristi Allen.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Tuesday, March 15, 2022 from 11 am – 1pm.  The funeral service will be Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Dr. Johnathan Smith officiating.

Pallbearers will be Bryce Townsend, Clay Townsend, Don Parker, Mark Watkins, Kasey Watkins, and Randy McClain.

Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery in Cottage Grove, TN.
