Clara Darlene McClure

Clara Darlene "Moose" McClure, age 75 of Paris, died on December 5, 2025, at West Tennessee Healthcare Henry County Hospital in Paris. Darlene was born in Shelbyville, KY to the late Deward "Dee" Allen and to the late Clara Smith "Pinky" Allen. Darlene married William McClure on May 1, 1972, who survives of Paris.

She lived a life defined by her unwavering love for her family and her many cherished hobbies, including cooking and baking, particularly her famous banana bread. A devoted homemaker, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life, from crocheting and solving crossword puzzles to assembling jigsaw puzzles. Clara was a lover of books, with a particular fondness for the works of Danielle Steel. Her passion for community service was evident through her involvement with the Cancer Walk for Life with Relay for Life, reflecting her compassionate spirit and commitment to helping others. Darlene was also a friend of the W.G. Rhea Public Library. She is survived by her two daughters, Cheri Douglass (John) of Paris, and Connie Jackson (Robert) of Paris; five grandchildren, Brooke Douglass, Crystal Hardin (Daniel), Holly Douglass, Matt Bruce (Kiera), and Brianna Jackson; three great-grandchildren, Millie, Annistyn, and Rosalie.

Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters Vanessa Russell and Patricia Fawbush. Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. Visitation will be on Monday, December 8, 2025, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Then again on Tuesday December 9, 2025, at Ridgeway Funeral Home at 10 a.m., until her service time at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Robbie Moore and Dana Moore Capps officiating.

Burial will be in Bevil Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association (http://www.heart.org) or the American Cancer Society (https://www.cancer.org) in Darlene’s honor.
