Daniel Ray England

Daniel Ray England, age 72 of Henry, TN, died Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at Henry County Healthcare Center in Paris, TN.

He retired after a 30-year career as a fork-lift operator with Lowe’s Southern Clay in Paris.  He was a member of Henry Baptist Church for several years.  Daniel was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran.  He was an avid boater and fisherman, and an arrowhead hunter.  He was a beekeeper who enjoyed gardening and loved life.

Daniel was born March 15, 1948, in Henry, TN, to the late Anderson Louis England and the late Bertice Lurean Taylor.

He was married November 14, 2009, to Wanda Joyce Courtney England, who survives, of Henry, TN.

Along with his wife, he is survived by nine children, Patty (Nathan) Shaffer of Paris, Melissa (David) Watkins of Buchanan, TN, Teresa Clark of Fulton, KY, and Tricia (Mark) Nanrajo of Clinton, KY, Stephen (Stephanie) England of Henry, TN, Brian England of Paris, Keith Owensby of Merrillville, IN, Kevin Owensby of Merrillville, IN, and Kenny Owensby of Concord, NC; one sister, Betty Lemonds of Cottage Grove, TN; one brother, Billy (Wanda) England of Paris; 17 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Junior England.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  Visitation will be Saturday, December 26, 2020, from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 12:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Stephen England and John Sutton officiating.

At the family’s request, masks must be worn, and social distancing observed during both visitation and the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Clay England, Jody England, Nathan Shaffer, Bo Mahr, Evan Lemonds, and Jonathan Climer.

Burial will be in Bevil Cemetery in Paris.
