Danny Hart

Danny E. Hart, age 69, of Puryear, TN, passed away August 27, 2025, at his home surrounded by a host of loved ones.

Danny was a 1975 Graduate of Henry County High School. During his high school tenure, he served a year as the State President of the VICA Club. He retired from Midway Materials. Danny was a firm believer in Jesus Christ. He loved being on the lake fishing, playing guitar and singing with his family. Encouraging his grandchildren by sharing his love of music with them was a passion of his. Danny had a profound sense of humor and loved encouraging others with his jokes and by sharing the bounty of his huge garden.

His wife of 50 years, Deborah Merrell Hart, survives of Puryear, TN.

Born December 5, 1955, in Paris, TN he was the son of the late Donald Hart and Morine Melton Hart.

Along with his wife, survivors include his three children, Gina (Tom) Thornton of Paris, TN, Selina (Eric) Miller of Puryear, TN, and Danny (Jamie) Hart of Puryear, TN; a sister, Debra (Frank) Crutcher of Dover, TN; his twin brother, Ranny (Stephanie) Hart of Buchanan, TN; twelve grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a plethora of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Danny was also preceded in death by brother, Jimmy Hart.

Honoring his wishes to promote Medical Education and research for the advancement of medicine, Danny made the selfless and very noble decision to donate his body for scientific research through the Genesis Program for the advancement of science.

A time to gather, tell funny stories, and celebrate Danny’s life will be held at a later date.
