Dot Alexander

Dorothy Loraine "Dot" Alexander, age 98, died at her residence on Monday, November 2, 2026. 

Dot was born in South Bend, IN to the late Albert Alfred Kautz and to the late Annie Bell Davis Kautz. 

She married Charles Thomas "Pap" Alexander on January 16, 1946, and he preceded her in death March 20, 1984. 

She was a member of Birds Creek Baptist Church. Dot was an avid reader and loved to work jigsaw puzzles. She also enjoyed sewing and working in her yard. 

Dot is survived by three sons, Tom (Judy) Alexander of McKenzie, TN, Robert (Tina) Alexander of Paris, Johnny (Stephanie) Alexander of Murfreesboro, TN; 14 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 27 great-great-grandchildren. Dot was very proud to be the oldest of five generations of Alexanders living. 

Along with her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Billy Jo Alexander, a brother, Richard Kautz, and a granddaughter, Lori Alexander.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 4, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home with her funeral service to be held Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. with Kevin Gallimore officiating.

Serving as pallbearers for the service will be Jackson Stanulis, Vince Dodd, Eli Alexander, Chris Alexander, Steven Priddy, and Richie Alexander. Jerry Ellis will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

Burial will follow in the Birds Creek Cemetery.
