Dorothy Sue "Dot" Gibson

Dorothy Sue “Dot” Gibson, age 70 of Paris, TN, died Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, TN.

She retired after many years as a line worker for Holley Carburetor Plant in Paris. Dot formerly was a house cleaner, and a nurse’s aide for a Veterans hospital in Augusta, GA. She was a member of First Baptist Church, and enjoyed fishing, gardening, canning, and playing games.

Dot was born April 2, 1949, in Paris, TN, to the late Robert Carter and the late Vera Nichols Carter Hendley.

She is survived by her life-long partner of thirty years, Robert “Bob” Bowers of Paris, TN; two daughters, Keri Ann (Jeff) Eneix of Paris, TN, and Tina (William) Adams of Paris, TN; two sons, Michael Mattingly of Paris, TN, and James Paul Henry Gibson of Paris, TN; one sister Margaret (Joe R.) Allen of Paris, TN; eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Arrangements will be handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN, 38242.  The body is to be cremated.  Burial of cremains will take place Saturday, May 18, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. in Manley’s Chapel Cemetery in Paris, TN.
