Dwight Turner

Dwight Turner, age 76 of Mansfield, TN, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at his residence.

Dwight was born in Springville, TN, on October 17, 1949, to the late Troy B. Turner, and the late Mamie Iola French Turner.

He married Anita Louise Wynn Turner on December 9, 1966. Anita survives of Mansfield, TN.

Dwight served as the pastor of Pentecostal Apostolic Chapel Church in Paris for more than 35 years. He also spent 20 years logging. He enjoyed working with mules and horses, spending time with his hunting dogs, and hunting raccoons and rabbits. Dwight also enjoyed visiting flea markets and meeting people throughout the community. He loved people and never met a stranger. Above all, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by three children, Joel (Christina) Turner of Paris, TN, Lori Lobue of Mansfield, TN, and Jamie (Vanessa) Turner of Paris, TN; three sisters, Carol (Ron) Willoughby of Eva, TN, Kathleen Milam of Paris, TN, and Joan Rodgers of Parsons, TN; one sister-in-law, Sharon Crossno of Mansfield, TN; eight grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents, Dwight was preceded in death by one brother, Mark Crossno; three infant siblings, Charles Troy Turner, Janet Turner and Doy Stephen Turner; and two brothers-in-law, Peto Milam and Jim Rodgers.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Henry County Tabernacle Cemetery, officiated by Bro. Don Funderburk.

Pallbearers will be Richard Holcomb, Ricky Holcomb, Traylon Button, Nathan Turner, Troy Turner, and Brad Sanders.

Danny Hargrove will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
