Earline Kennon Sheehan, age 98 of Paris, Tennessee. Passed away on Friday August 15, 2025, at Traditions of Smyrna, in Smyrna, Tennessee. She was surrounded by family.
She was born September 23, 1926, in Paris, Tennessee, to the late James Ollie Kennon, and the late Lena Mae Hudson Kennon. Earline married Robert Patrick Sheehan on August 15, 1952, who preceded her in death August 8, 1995.
Earline was raised in Paris, Tennessee. She was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church. After High School she attended Toler’s Business College in Paris. She also worked for the Paris Post Intelligence News Paper in the early 1950’s. It was during this time that she met and married Robert, a career United States Navy serviceman. For the next 25 years they were stationed at Little Creek Naval Base in Norfolk, Virginia. After Robert’s retirement in 1973, the family moved back to Paris to be closer to family.
Her devotion to her husband and family was evident in her steadfast support of his military career. She was able to navigate the challenges of military life with grace and strength. During her exciting life of traveling the whole United States, donating over 34 pints of blood to the Red Cross, making award winning rum cakes, and her late-night games of dominos, her sense of humor and quick wit quickly captured the hearts of all those who got to know her.
Earline is survived by two daughters, Kathleen (Roger) Ziemanski of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Earlene Marie (Michael) Rhea of Hermitage, Tennessee; and one son, Eugene (Joan) Sheehan of Batavia, Ohio. She is preceded in death by stepdaughter, Patricia (Ronnie) Neunsinger of Blue Ridge, Georgia.
