Lynn Connelly

Edward Lynn Connelly age 73 of Springville, TN, died Monday, November 20, 2023, at his residence.

Lynn spent the majority of his life buying and selling cars, but his passion was restoring classic cars. When he was not working on cars, he loved spending time with his family. His granddaughter, Alexis Irwin was simply his pride and joy. Early in life, Lynn joined the Marine Corps where he completed his specialty training in San Diego, California. Later in life he moved from Dyersburg, TN, to Springville, TN, where he lived out his summer days on the pontoon boat. Life on the water was hard to beat in his book. He was also a member of New Beginning Ministries in Big Sandy, TN.

He married Rebeckah “Becky” Ferguson Connelly July 4, 1993, who survives of Springville.

Born November 20, 1950, in Dyersburg, TN, he was the son of the late Charles “Doodle” Connelly, and the late Betty Lou Tyler Connelly.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by four children, Melissa (Jason) Walden of Paducah, Jeremy (Jennifer) Thompson of Springville, and Lynnette (Scott) Stevens, and Shane Connelly, both of Dyersburg; and two other grandchildren, Katie and Dylan Stevens.

Along with his parents, Lynn was also preceded in death by a sister, Shelia Connelly.

Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN 38242, will be handling the funeral arrangements. Visitation will be held Friday, November 24, 2023, from 11 until 2 pm. His funeral service will be held Friday, November 24, 2023, at 2 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Anderson officiating.

Serving as pallbearers for the service will be Larry McFadden, Jamie Knox, Nathan “Shine” Moore, Dean Hill, Johnny Goad, and Scotty McGuire.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Cemetery.
