Edwin Dale Wyrick

Edwin Dale Wyrick, age 87 of Cottage Grove, TN, was called to be home with the Lord and his wife, Harriet, on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.

Ed was born in Kunkle, OH, on April 29, 1938, to the late Estel Wyrick, Sr. and the late Lura Mae Borton Wyrick.

On November 17, 1967, he married Harriet Ellen Wyrick, who preceded him in death on August 28, 2019. Ed and Harriet were married for 51 years.

Ed retired from GTE, General Telephone and Electronics, before going to work for Dinkins Home Center as a salesman. He loved his family, the outdoors, and had a passion for deer hunting. He was a Christian man who was a member of North Fork Baptist Church. Ed Wyrick was a Veteran who served in the U.S. Air Force from 1958 to 1962.

Ed is survived by four children, Scott (Barbara) Wyrick, Tina (Tim) Cox of Rising Sun, OH, Liz Graham of Wedowee, AL, and Curtis Wyrick of Washington Courthouse, OH; three brothers, Duane (Phyliss) Wyrick, Gerald (Patsy) Wyrick, and Estel (Mary Ellen) Wyrick, Jr.; eight grandchildren, Coltin (Raven) Wyrick, Clay (Madison) Wyrick, Chase (Londyn) Wyrick, Cara Wyrick, Shannon (Curtis) Morgan, Amanda (Kurtis) Payton, Nicholas Graham, and Chelsea (Blake) Webb; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, Ed was preceded in death by one brother, Bob Wyrick; and two sisters, Leola (Bud) Merrillat, and Beatrice Mae Wyrick.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will begin at 4:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Bro. Jerry Massey officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN, 38105, or His Fork Food Pantry, 75 Kuykendall Rd, Puryear, TN, 38251.
