Ethan Smith

Ethan Garrett Smith, age 25 of Paris, TN, passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2026.

Ethan was born in Paris, TN, on December 26, 2000, to Barry G. Smith of Puryear, TN, and the late Crystal Wilson Dunlap.

He was a member of North Fork Baptist Church. He worked as a deck supervisor on the HFL Mariner for Hines Furlong Line in Paducah, Kentucky. He enjoyed riding four-wheelers and side-by-sides, hunting, and fishing. Above all, he loved spending time with his children and family.

Along with his father, Ethan is survived by his fiancé, Katelynn Luther of Paris, TN; three children, Easton Chad Smith, Aribella Kate Smith, and Adalynn Skye Smith; two sisters, Hannah (J.D.) Davis of Wartrace, TN, and Emily (Kevin) Soto of Sevierville, TN, great-grandparents, Ann and Larry Thurmond; nieces, NyElle Davis, Fallon Davis, and Abigail Soto; nephew, Alex Soto; aunt, Diane Parrish; and uncle, Steve (Flossie) Smith.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mikie Knott and Dianna Thurmond Wilson; and paternal grandparents, Eugene and Shirley Smith.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held Friday, January 30, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 5:00 p.m. officiated by Soup Raymer and Allen McDougal.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Harley Davis, Clay Sealy, Zane Ross, Blaine Johnson, Blake Johnson, and Kiser Mahan.

Cremation will follow the funeral service.
