Evelyn Ann Orr

Evelyn Ann Orr, age 79 of Jones Mill, TN, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2026, at TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

She was born in Union City, TN, on July 26, 1947, to the late AJ Cryer, and the late Martha Berry Cryer.

Evelyn married Freddie Joe Orr on February 22, 1974. Freddie preceded her in death on October 11, 2016.

Evelyn was a longtime member of Puryear Baptist Church, where she helped to establish the Young at Heart Group. She worked at Dana for many years, where she made many lasting connections. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished her family. She was also an avid Kentucky Basketball and St. Louis Cardinals Baseball fan.

She is survived by two children, Jodie (Jennifer) Orr and Melanie Orr (Audie) Antonino, both of Medina, TN; three grandchildren, Griffin Orr, Emma Laine Orr, and Khloe Antonino; one brother-in-law, Rickie Orr of Jones Mill, TN; one sister-in-law, Gwyn Cryer of Obion, TN; one niece, Marla (Bart) Ferguson; and three nephews, Russ (Wendy) Orr, Jamie (Scarlet) Orr, and Jay (Heather) Cryer.

In addition to her husband and parents, Evelyn was also preceded in death by one brother, Joe Cryer, and one sister-in-law, Judy Orr.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, August 30, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home, and continue Monday, August 31, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Puryear Baptist Church. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Rodney Alexander and Chad Kennedy.

Burial will follow at Paschall Cemetery with Russ Orr, Jamie Orr, Caleb Orr, Hayden Bostick, Scott Delaney, and Caden Delaney serving as pallbearers.

The Deacons of Puryear Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
