Everett Stanley, age 85 of Paris, TN, died Thursday, September 10, 2020, at AHC of Paris.
He retired after a long career from the Chrysler Corporation in Belvidere, IL. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving in Guam. Everett enjoyed fishing and all sports, especially football. He was a big University of Alabama fan, an avid Chicago Cubs baseball fan, University of Kentucky basketball fan and also liked University of Tennessee football. He attended Calvary Temple in Murray, KY.
Everett was born March 26, 1935, to the late Earl Stanley and the late Artie Carpenter Stanley.
He was married March 6, 1954, to Janice Schumacher Stanley, who survives, of Paris, TN.
Along with his wife, he is also survived by one daughter, Jana (Jeff) Webb of Paris, TN; one son, Keith Stanley of Paris, TN; two sisters, Marry Morgan of Paris, TN, and Cindy (Ron) Marino of Paris, TN; three brothers, Clyde (Erika) Stanley of Roseville, CA, Fred (Toni) Stanley of Apple Valley CA, and Owen (Sue) Stanley of Rockford, IL; sisters-in-law, Linda Stanley of Paris, TN, and Sheri Stanley of Rockford, IL; and one grandchild, Chase Webb.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one daughter, Kerri Stanley; and three brothers, Charles Stanley, Jim Stanley, and Gerald Stanley.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. Visitation will be Monday, September 14, 2020, from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Monday, September 14, 2020, at 3:30 pm at Palestine Cemetery in Paris, TN, with Jeff Webb officiating.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Named as honorary pallbearers are Nadar Fares and Jeremy Hunter.
Burial will follow the graveside service in Palestine Cemetery.
