Fay Taylor Buie

Fay Taylor Buie, age 88 of Paris, TN, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY.

Fay was born on July 25, 1937, in Gleason, TN, to the late Orvle Taylor, and the late Opal Montgomery Taylor.

On January 31, 1952, she married William Thomas Buie, who preceded her in death on August 24, 2023.

Fay was a member of Birds Creek Baptist Church. She formerly worked at Redmon’s BBQ, Holley Carburetor before working as a Home Health Care Nurse. She enjoyed growing flowers, spending time with her dog, Lacy, and watching Tennessee Titans Football.

Fay is survived by four children, Linda (David) Conger of Paris, TN, David Buie of Paris, TN, Larry Buie of Winter Haven, FL, Danny Buie of Paris, TN; one sister, Melvene (Randy) Crews of Dyersburg, TN; two brothers, Jerry (Liz) Taylor of Paris, TN, and Roger (Ruth) Taylor of Paris, TN; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Diana Buie Walters, and Billy Buie; and three brothers, Dancel Taylor, Edgar Taylor, and Wendell Taylor.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. Her remains are to be cremated with a Graveside Memorial Service to be held at Birds Creek Cemetery on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. with Steve Gallimore officiating.
