Gerald Wayne Boyd

Gerald Wayne Boyd, age 70 of Paris, TN, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at West Tennessee Healthcare-Henry County Hospital.

He was born in Paris, TN, on July 2, 1956, to the late Luther Leon Boyd, and the late Autry Lucile Clayton Boyd.

Gerald was a graduate of Henry County High School and Murray State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree. He spent 32 years as the General Manager of Volunteer Homes in Paris. Gerald was an avid fan of the Tennessee Volunteers, St. Louis Cardinals, and Tennessee Titans. In his younger years, he enjoyed riding motorcycles and dirt bikes. He also spent many years traveling to play men’s softball and always enjoyed playing golf.

He is survived by three children, Emily Noel Boyd of Saint Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, Tyler (Laura) Boyd of Franklin, TN, and Eric Boyd of Old Hickory, TN; one brother, Ronnie (Betsy) Boyd of Paris, TN; one grandson, Dalton Boyd; and one granddaughter expected to arrive in December 2026.

In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by one sister, Charlotte Button.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will be held at the Paris Country Club.

After the visitation, his remains are to be cremated.
