Gerry Buchanan

Geraldine Mae “Gerry” Buchanan, age 73 of Paris, TN, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at her residence.

Gerry was born in Arlington, VA, on May 1, 1952, to the late Gene Harrington, and the late Mary Lou Scott Melton.

On July 27, 1986, she married Kenneth James Buchanan, who preceded her in death on April 10, 2012.

Gerry worked as an engineer at Yazaki Manufacturing in Michigan before relocating to Tennessee, where she later worked as a waitress at Esha’s Country Store in Buchanan, West Wood Market and Restaurant, and Ann and Dave’s in Paris, Tennessee. She was a kind-hearted, simple soul who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her two daughters, Dawn (Rick) Miller of Wyandotte, MI, and Tanya Buchanan of Paris, TN; one sister, Mary (Jack) Benefiel of Howell, MI; four brothers, Steven Harrington of Howell, MI, Larry Harrington of Howell, MI, Roy Lee Scott, Jr. of Indiana, and David Scott, of Howell, MI; six grandchildren, Steve (Sarah) Miller, Aleisha Buchanan, Sarah Miller, Joshua Kamin, Shelby Miller, and Timothy Ray; and her dog, Tia.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, William Harrington.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. Her remains are to be cremated with a memorial Celebration of Life to be held at Westwood Market and Restaurant, 45 TN-69, Paris, TN, 38242, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on December 21, 2025.
