Glenda Margaret Rainbolt

Glenda Margaret Rainbolt, age 66 of Puryear, TN, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2025, at her residence.

She was born October 30, 1958, in Murray, KY, to the late Earlie Scarbrough, and the late Margaret Morris Scarbrough.

On December 3, 2005, Glenda married Charles D. “Chuck” Rainbolt, who survives of Puryear, TN, at Hazel Baptist Church in Hazel, KY.

In addition to her husband, Glenda is survived by four children, Angie (Jeremy) McCord of Murray, KY, John Ryan (Sarah) Rainbolt of London, UK, Ashley (Matt) McMains of Littleton, CO, and Jessie Gallimore (Meshka Anderson) of Dallas, TX; seven grandchildren, Brooke (Adam) Callahan, Josiah Rainbolt, Daniel Rainbolt, Abby Grace Rainbolt, John Paul McMains, Elliana McMains, and Tabitha McMains; and one great-grandchild that is expected to arrive in November.

Along with her parents, Glenda was preceded in death by her stepfather, Trellis McCuiston.

Glenda lived her life to care for others. Through her career as an emergency room nurse, she saved numerous lives and comforted families through some of their most difficult moments on Earth. This care and compassion extended far beyond the hospital doors though. Whether it be a friend, a stranger, or even a stray cat, she welcomed anyone into her home. Glenda loved to see her family together and most enjoyed a busy, bustling household together in love.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. Her remains are to be cremated. A Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Ridgeway Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Steve Gallimore and Ralph Morris officiating.
