Gloria Grissom Barnhill

Gloria Grissom Barnhill, age 85 of Paris, TN, died Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at her residence.

Gloria formerly worked at the Holley Carburetor Plant, Slant and Slant Shirt Factory, and Wal-Mart. She was a longtime member of the Baptist Church in Whitlock. She enjoyed reading, and working on jigsaw puzzles. Gloria was formerly an active member of the VFW and the Henry County Office of Aging; and was the proud organizer of the annual Holley Carburetor reunion for over 15 years.

Born December 18, 1940, in Parsons, TN, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Jennings and the late Goldy Blankenship Jennings.

On October 29, 2005, she married J.W. Barnhill. J.W. preceded her in death in 2008.

She is survived by four children, Chris (Sheila Watson) Grissom, of Paris, Earl (Kathy) Grissom, Jr., of Henry, TN, Cheryl Hasselbrink of Paris, and Allen Wayne (LuAnn) Grissom of Puryear, TN, brother, Mike Jennings of Atlanta, GA; eight grandchildren, Cayce Grissom, Caleb Grissom, Kyle (Amanda) Grissom, Tara Clark, Shan (Chip) Barron, Michael Hasselbrink, Michelle (Matt) Meadows, and Bobby Coe; and twelve great grandchildren, Leighton, Kelsey, Karleigh, Gavin, Alaina, McClain, Kaylynn, Christopher, Kye, Danielle, Jonah, and Nathan; four great-great grandchildren, Zoey, Ava, Axel, and Brylan; nieces, Nicole Wade and Marti Sutton; nephew, Jason Jennings; special friends, Pat Raines, Sue Turbeville, and Sandra Daniels; cousins, Martha Jo and Sheila; and several other cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother in infancy, Charlie Jennings, Jr.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN 38242, will be handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held Friday, October 2, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home and continue Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 11:00 am at Ridgeway Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Caleb Grissom, Cayce Grissom, Kyle Grissom, Chip Barron, Gavin Garder, Bobby Coe, and Matt Meadows.

Burial will be at Lexington City Cemetery in Lexington, TN, at 2:00 PM.
