Jackie Swayne

Jackie Seymour Swayne, age 74 of Paris, TN, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at her residence.

She was born in Henry County, TN, on September 7, 1951, to the late W.O. Seymour, and the late Helen Muzzall Seymour.

Jackie married Gary Swayne on September 11, 2006, in Key West, FL. Gary preceded her in death on June 29, 2021.

She was a member of the last graduating class from E.W. Grove High School in 1969. Jackie retired from Security Bank and Trust after many years.

Jackie was exceedingly proud of her grandson, Jackson. She enjoyed drawing, painting, and traveling. She loved all animals, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time on the farm with her dog, Tucker. She was known for her contagious laugh and spending time eating dinner with her friends.

She is survived by one step-son, Dustin (Trishia) Swayne of Hendersonville, TN; one sister, Jo Lynn Pierce of Paris, TN; one brother, Steve (Pam) Seymour of Kingsland, GA; one grandson, Jackson Swayne; two nieces, Teri Lynn (Jeff) Atkins of Paris, TN, and Maurie Ann (Robb) Mitchell of Paris, TN; two nephews, Chad (Brittany) Seymour of Huntsville, AL, and Chuck (Nicole Sawyers) Seymour of Kingsland, GA; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and her beloved dog, Tucker.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Terry Pierce.
