Jimmy Allison

James B. “Jimmy” Allison, age 91 of Buchanan, TN passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2026.

Jimmy was born in Humphreys County TN on November 23, 1934, to the late Charles Robert Allison and the late Sallie Mae O’Guinn Allison.

On October 25, 1958,  Jimmy married Patricia Brewer Allison who preceded him in death on November 26, 2025.

Jimmy dedicated his life to serving others, starting his ministry in 1963. His first church was Shady Grove, where he was ordained and embarked on a journey of faith that touched countless lives. Jimmy was not just a minister; he was the proud owner of a body shop and excavating business, always ready to lend a hand to those in need. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and cruising on his Harley. His love for music brought joy to his soul and those around him. He was a member of Maplewood Baptist Church.

Jimmy is survived by his three children, Lisa (John) Hill of College Grove, TN, Sharon (Steve) Brugman of Franklin, TN, and Marty Allison of Paris; one sister, Lina Nash of Paris; four grandchildren, Ian (Kaylee) Brugman, Emma Brugman, Eli Hill, and Andrew Allison.

Along with his parents and his wife, Jimmy was preceded in death by six sisters, Odessa “Dess” Cathey, Roberta “Bert” Triplett, Geraldine Lamb, Juanita “Bug” Allison, Clister “Click” Smith, and Evora “Bo” Hill; two brothers, Charles “Newt” Allison, and Edwin “Pat” Allison.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, is handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm with Chad Kennedy officiating.

Burial will follow at Elkhorn Cemetery in Springville, TN.
