James E. “Jim” Morrison, age 80 of Paris, TN, died Monday, August 24, 2020, in Milan, TN.
He retired after a 38-year career from Midland Brake in Paris. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Jim loved hunting, fishing trips with his buddies and golf, especially the day he got a hole in one. He was always the Yankees fan, watching every game and seeing them play in Detroit, Cleveland and NYC over the years.
Jim was born November 14, 1939, in Shelby, NC, to the late Robert James Morrison and the late Kathryn Waters Morrison.
He was married September 1, 1960, to Ruby Reynolds Morrison, who survives, of Paris, TN.
Along with his wife, he is also survived by two daughters, Teresa (Craig) Gale of Athens, AL, and Wendy Wilson of Milan, TN; one son, Scott (Temple) Morrison of Paris, TN; six grandchildren, Brian (Leigh Beth) Wilson, Crystal (Lee) Alexander, Sarah Gale, Andrew Gale, Olivia Ashley and Brileigh Morrison; and five great grandchildren, Isabelle Wilson, Zane Wilson, Aiden Alexander, Caleb Alexander and Lilly Alexander.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. The body is to be cremated. A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, September 12, 2020, at 11:00 am at Memorial Cemetery in Paris, with David Gallimore officiating.
Burial of cremains will follow the service in Memorial Cemetery.
