Jared Christopher Medlock, age 34 of Paris, TN, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at his residence.
Jared was born on June 9, 1992, in Memphis, TN, to Gary Medlock, and Nikki Taylor Hoffman. His parents both survive of Paris, TN.
He was a 2010 graduate of Henry County High School and later earned his associate’s degree from the University of Arkansas. He was known for his quick wit and playful banter, especially during the time spent with his family. He loved his niece and nephew, Kyla and Adonis, and cherished the relationships he had with his close cousins. He was a fan of all Tennessee athletics.
In addition to his parents, Jared is survived by two sisters, Allison Scott of Braselton, GA, and Amber (Ty) Jackson of Smyrna, TN; brother, Hunter (Addison) Medlock of Nashville, TN; grandfather, Joe Taylor of Paris, TN; niece, Kyla Tharpe; nephews, Adonis Jackson and Kylan Jackson; aunts, Shannon Waddell and Trish Medlock, both of Paris, TN; uncle, Chad (Jinnifer) Baker of Spring Hill, TN; and cousins, Jeffrey Marshall, Madison Veazey, Katelyn Veazey, Harlee Veazey, Taylor Waddell, Brayden Scott, Kacey Baker, Riley Baker, and Regan Baker.
He was preceded in death by three grandparents, Sandra Jean Ealey, Roger Dean Medlock, and Nancy Taylor.
Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held Friday, June 12, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Ridgeway Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2026, officiated by Randy Stephens.
Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery- Connie Mack, Dyersburg, TN, with Matt McWherter, Clayton Lee, Jeffrey Marshall, Hunter Medlock, Taylor Waddell, and Brayden Scott serving as pallbearers.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Gary Medlock, Joe Taylor, and Chad Baker.
