JC Williams

JC Williams, age 95 of Paris, TN, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2024 in Paris.

He was a member of Henry United Methodist Church. He was a co-owner of Lewis and Williams Grocery in Paris from 1972-1995. He previously worked at Moore and Anderson Grocery Store. In his retirement he delivered for Perkins Drugs. JC enjoyed yardwork and fishing. 

JC was born November 24, 1929, in Springville, TN to the late Joseph Carl Williams and the late Kathleen Wimberly Williams.

He was married in Corinth, MS in May of 1948 to Maxine Clayton Williams and she preceded in death in 2003.

He is survived by one daughter, Rita Lewis and fiancé Dennis Barton of Henry, TN; two granddaughters, Misty (Mike) Vermillion of Paris, TN, and Miranda (Derik) Moon of Paris, TN; three great grandchildren, Macy Vermillion (Shontel) of Nashville, TN, Mattie Vermillion of Puryear, TN, and Madison Vermillion of Paris, TN, and; and one great great grandchild, Kaleah Thompson.

Besides his wife and parents, JC was also preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Darrell Williams.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN. The body is to be cremated with a graveside service to be held Monday, December 30, 2024 at 10:00 am at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris with Mike Wimberley officiating.
