Jerry Dale Freeland

Jerry Dale Freeland, age 79 of Paris, TN, died Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

He retired after many years as a truck driver, and was the former owner of Jerry’s Pool Room in Mayfield, KY.  Jerry was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the NRA.  He loved riding his Harley Davidson and playing pool.

Jerry was born April 11, 1943, in Paris, TN, to the late J.D. Freeland and the late Sylvia Frances Patterson Freeland.

He was married to his first wife, Ilinda Freeland, who preceded him in death.  He was later married April 14, 2007, to his second wife, Sandra Taylor Freeland, who survives, of Paris.

Along with his wife, he is also survived by one son, Jimmy Dale Freeland; two stepdaughters, Alison (Will) Jackson of Savannah, GA, and Amanda Young of Frankfort, KY; one brother, Buddy Freeland; two grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and his loyal dog companion, Ellie Mae Freeland.

In addition to his parents and first wife, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Carolyn Sue Freeland.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  The body is to be cremated with no services scheduled, at Jerry’s request.
