Jessie Alice Alder

Jessie A. Alder, age 86 of Paris, TN, died Thursday, February 15, 2024, at AHC of Paris.

She retired as head of housekeeping for the hotel & inn at Paris Landing State Park.  She was a member of Jones Chapel Baptist Church since 1974, where she was active in & loved the Women’s Missionary Union (WMU).  Jessie was a big supporter of the Western District Association of Baptists and Tomorrow’s Hope.  She enjoyed crocheting, reading, and loved her family.  

Jessie was born August 25, 1937, in Paris, TN, to the late Otis Chester Wiliams and the late Katie Elizabeth Snow.

She was married July 4, 1980, to William Alder, who preceded her in death on January 9, 2008.

She is survived by five children, Nancy (Ed) Phillips of Springville, TN, Karen Malinowski of Jackson, TN, Michael J. Malinowski of Paris, TN, Keith D. Malinowski of MO, and Joseph W. Malinowski of CA; three brothers, John O. Williams of GA, Donald Glen Williams of Opp, AL, and Ronald David (Socorra) Williams of IN; five grandchildren, Andrew (Kelley) Jackson of Oakland, TN, Matthew (Amanda) Jackson of Paris, TN, Mark (Heyling) Jackson of Pensacola, FL, Anthony Young of Paris, TN, and Nick Young of Paris, TN; and four great grandchildren, Cassidy, Emily, Abel, and Eva.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242.  A graveside service will be held Monday, February 19, 2024, at 11:00 am at Jones Chapel Cemetery in Paris, TN, with Malcolm Norton officiating.

Burial will follow the graveside service be in Jones Chapel Cemetery.
