Jewel Ruth Taylor

Jewel Ruth Taylor, age 83 of Paris, TN, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2026, at her residence.

Jewel was born in Lexington, TN, on December 12, 1942, to the late Lester Lidel Swafford, and the late Billie Frances Anderson Sadler.

She married Jerry Wayne Taylor on January 15, 1961. Jerry survives of Paris, TN.

Jewel was a member of Temple Baptist Church and spent many years working at Salant and Salant in Paris. She enjoyed sewing, watching and feeding hummingbirds, and working crossword puzzles.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Sandy Taylor of Paris, TN; and one sister, Lucy Fournier of Allen, TX.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Erlene Mullins and Frances Taylor.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. Her remains are to be cremated with a memorial service to be held at Temple Baptist Church at a later time.
