Jimmy Rogers Mann, age 85 of Paris, TN, died Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at AHC of Paris.
He retired after a long career with General Motors-Buick Division. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Paris. Jimmy served as a Helping Hand volunteer for many years and as a Bloodbank volunteer, where he was a 20-gallon donor. He was a member of the Paris Elks Lodge and enjoyed serving at CDS in Martin, TN, where he was a former chairman of the board. Jimmy enjoyed helping others.
Jimmy was born July 9, 1935, in Cottage Grove, TN, to the late Edgar Kirksey Mann and the late Eva B Holden Mann.
He was married, November 26, 1955, to his wife of 65 years, Charlotte Willeford Mann, who survives, of Paris.
Along with his wife, he is also survived by two sisters, Agnes Wilson of Paris, and Barbara McSwain of Paris; one brother, Paul Franklin Mann of Martin, TN; one sister-in-law, Ernestine Mann of Paris; and several nieces and nephews and their families.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Hartman and Martha Peden; and two brothers, John Thomas Mann and R.D. “Shorty” Mann.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. Visitation will be Friday, December 18, 2020, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Rev. Joy Weathersbee officiating.
At the family’s request, masks must be worn and social distancing observed during both visitation and the service.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dave Hartman, Bill Hartman, Tony Wilson, Mike Wilson, and Craig Wilson.
Burial will be in Walker Cemetery in Paris.
