Jo Ellen Swarthout

Jo Ellen Swarthout, age 63 of Murray, KY, died Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at her residence. 

She worked at McDonald’s in Paris for 14 years. Jo Ellen loved going to yard sales and consignment shopping. She was very family focused. 

Jo Ellen was born October 16, 1960, in Marshalltown, IA, to the late Howard Pendardis and the late Elaine Ennen Pendardis.

She was married May 27, 1978, to Arthur Swarthout, Jr., who preceded her in death on December 4, 2021.

She is survived by one daughter, Laura Koumoullou of Paris, TN; one son, Joseph Swarthout of Murray, KY; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. She also had eight siblings.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two sons, Adam Frank Swarthout and Kenneth Swarthout.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. The body is to be cremated with no services scheduled at this time.
